The Gatekeeper
07.12.2021
Told to fall in love, but not for herself.
Told to be loved and love back, but not to enjoy it.
Told to be of desire and amusement, lonely gatekeeper of pleasure--
but the pleasure to be had is not for those who stand outside it.
Manicured hands paint a beautiful oasis, keep the amusement park grounds clean and

Her torso, her neck, her head remain outside the green, glittering gates.
Opened, be good.
The guests may arrive—
